Most Adventure trailers have either a straight axle with flexible parts, a leaf spring, solid rubber blocks, and occasionally a very heavy independent coil spring on trailing arms.
Some of these are very heavy.
Most of these offer almost no wheel travel.
Almost all have a very stiff ride and will bounce.
Here at Base Camp Overland we designed a Trailing arm suspension that uses a lightweight leaf spring and a coil over shock absorber.
This keeps the weight down, the wheel travel high, and the ride smooth with less recoil after going over debris, bumps and holes.
It is attached to a 2,000 lb rated axle.
The entire trailer with all included gear and toys only weighs in at a tiny 1220 lbs.

We stabilized the gear inside kitchen box with a center shelf and added industrial outdoor foam on top and bottom of both levels to keep everything inside from bouncing around when towing.
